Music Streams Down Temporarily

I chose to keep the music streams down while I perform some system maintenance after some infrastructure issues I had earlier this week due to a power fluctuation. Took me a while to come up with a viable workaround while I determined the actual issues. Being under the weather with little sleep earlier this week also delayed the troubleshooting.

I’m currently moving my relay server to a new storage repository after the one it was on was corrupted shared from my FreeNAS system. Strangely enough the relay server seemed to be the only VM not previously affected by the corruption but after a reboot of the storage with a new disk and then bringing it up it had some filesystem corruption. I decided I will migrate it to a temporary new storage repository in my XCP-ng and then bring it up and fix the filesystem.

Will be back streaming soon and have the full story of this crash and the many steps to get back up and how the subsequent in motion reconfiguration and making the infrastructure more resilient at https://dhoytt.com/mainblog/.

Updating the Blade Chassis Environment Systems Going Down

Since I need to try and restore my configuration on my new Virtual Connect modules in my HPE C7000 Blade Chassis I need to power down and apply the configurations. Hopefully the backed up configuration from my VC-Enet 10/10 modules takes to the new modules VC-Enet 10/24 modules. Should the configuration not do what I like I may end up rebuilding my entire networking environment on the blade chassis end. This may affect drivers in the various OS’s on my blade servers as well, we shall see how long this process will be!

I did this backup so I would not have to workaround viewing the Virtual Connect environment in web browsers that no longer support flash. I could have done workarounds to having standalone flash stations in my environment or did all cli but decided I didn’t want to take away my flexibility to administer the environment from different systems. Better to make the changes now than later!

Web Server OS Updates

Just finished with OS system updates on my Linux Cenots 7 webs server and since it updated the kernel and other critical OS files it needed a reboot to run on the new kernel and other files. No issues and things are up running again fine.

During my system updates months ago I had also moved my IceCast relays to the web server and I will change that when I have time so I noticed I knocked some listeners off the IceCast relays temporarily during the reboot.

Updates Music Stream App and Website Plus IceCast Relay OS

I updated my web server, and my system that has my IceCast stream relay system both run Linux Centos 7. I also updated my SAM Broadcaster streaming software to the latest version. I also updated WordPress CMS\Blog softare to its latest version.
