Just lined up a Thumping eclectic mix of music to workout to!
I’m not even going to hint at who is in this list because I have to get my workout in before its too late! There will be a a heavy does of old school hip-hop though I will tell you that much but also some Metal, Pop, Reggae…just a gumbo mix of sounds ending with some mellow late night sounds.
Well didn’t feel like getting out on the waterways during a Memorial Day weekend so I’m just going to chill with some tunes in a cleaned house.
I ‘m already into some music manipulation from earlier today to get newer sounds all through the mix more often but then wanted to hear more selected sounds going further back.
So this is what I have as I burn the incense and play artist like: Mary J. Blige, Cypress Hill, Biz Markie, Philthy Rich, Stand Atlantic, Future, Journey and so many more!
That’s right I did a quick scroll down through my songs that are not separated via era or genre dropped in some titles I would like to hear and threw them into my workout mix and I’m sharing with you as always!
I went with some medium to up tempo songs with various beats and of course multiple genres then went to more chilled to some slow jams.
I went far back like Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, The Supremes, KC and the Sunshine Band, to current like Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Roddy Ricch sneak in some Ini Kamoze, Culcha Candela, Bootsy, Lana Del Rey and its a true mix Snakice House of Beats Style.
Doing
some very monotonous tasks that need to be done but mind numbing
and
boring. This
is all music from my den “Snakeice’s House of Beats”. That
means all the infrastructure producing the musical stream and
websites are on systems right in my personal computers on a on
premises type cloud in my home that I have created from scratch on my
personal property and I alone administer and support and customize
the systems to my specifications network, hardware, software
applications and storage is all my design and build specifications.
I
do this for the experience of interacting with the various open
source technologies that most people pay fees to have someone
provide. Many people repackage and present this which is fine but I
like providing the whole package otherwise its of no interest to me
to have someone else host and do the work what am I learning and its
not fun.
I
like to reiterate this periodically as people ask questions. A select
few understand (technology and why I do it) most don’t.
Anyhow
this mix as most here even when I’m just relying on the scripts
will be a special mix of various hand picked genres with a set of
songs that at this point and time I want to hear and flow together. I
can’t do just one genre I like several for my musical palate. They
can be complex or simple but music I enjoy and hopefully you will as
well.
I
still have yet to incorporate some more Indies artists music that
people have sent me lately and I will get you in the mix soon! Until
then enjoy.
A few artist coming up are some you have heard of and maybe some you haven’t are Icey Jaye, Popcaan, C-Bo, Will Smith, Doug E. Fresh, Meyer Rossabi, Leon Bridges, Ellie Goulding and so many more from all eras and many genres.
This is Friday so kicking it into the fun column then taking a bit hardcore, then a little more fun, hard again, throwback old school style, then bringing you to the present then slowing it down a bit.
Some mellow, a little uptempo, some jazz, rock & roll, hip-ho-, R&B, Reggae and a pinch of some country. The mix is already in full swing for a few hours all you have to do is tune in.
Sample of some artists in no particular order. Leon Bridges, Bunny Wailer, Billy Joel, Jimi Hendrix, Blondie, Theophilus London, Lakeside, Erk Tha Jerk and so much more.
It’s Thursday and time for another special mix for gym time music for inspiration. Oh it’s going to get down and funky a few cuts from back in the days and some tunes from the present.
I kind of like to line up the music and see where it leads me let’s see how this “Gumbo Mix” leads.
A sample of the artists coming up: Jagged Edge, Bob Marley, Debbie Deb, Funkadelic’s, Rita Ora, Eve…..
Mixing it up on a Tuesday evening prior to Labor Day Weekend getting the house ready to role after letting it fall into a bit of disarray. The music is popping dipping down low bringing it up high, some hard banging beats, smooth and as always multiple genres which is where the gumbo comes in.
